Thank you to everybody that was able to attend the Fall Membership Coffee on Friday. We had a great turnout and I really enjoyed meeting everybody. Hopefully we covered everything everybody wanted to know about PTA membership - and more! If you have suggestions on how we can improve the training, I would love to hear from you.
If you were not able to attend, I have posted the Powerpoint we used at the session on the Council website. Here is the link:
http://www.planopta.org/files/membership_ppt.pdf
It has important information and I hope you will take a few minutes to go through it. After you have looked it over, please email me if you have any questions and I will do my best to help you.
I’ve received a wide variety of questions in the past month. I’m working on a Q & A section for the Council membership webpage. It should be ready soon. When it is, I will send an email out to everyone with the link. The Council website has many resources for membership information. The address is www.planopta.org, then click on council board & chair info, then click on membership. Another great resource is the Texas PTA website, although the information is scattered around. If you are looking for something and can’t find it, please email me and I’ll get a link on the Council website to make it easier for all the membership chairs.
If you have not received your membership and benefit cards and your school is listed below, that is because I have them! Please email me and we’ll figure out the best way to get them to you.
Aldridge, Barron, Beaty, Centennial, Daffron, Davis, Haggard, Memorial, Mendenhall, Shepton, Williams, Wyatt
If you have not received your membership and benefit cards and your school was not listed above, please call Texas PTA at 1-800-TALK-PTA and let them know the situation so they can get them to you ASAP.
I’ll be sending out more information to you about the Life Member Banquet after the fall membership drive is over (10/15). Until then, know that plans are in the works and everything that needs to happen for that event is still a few months away.
If there is anything I can do to make your job a bit easier or help you find the information you need, please let me know. If you are able to attend any of the PTA Council regular meetings (see schedule on www.planopta.org, please come say hello to me! I look forward to working with you this year!
